Fast Track Business Super Conference
Let's kick off this blog right! By talking about what I just experienced over the last 3 days, what I got out of it and how it can help you too.
This past weekend I attended something called the Fast Track Business Super Conference. It was amazing! I've been a member and a student of the Fast Track group for a while now, but this was the first time I attended their biggest event of the year and boy was it worth every penny.
The speakers were phenomenal, and the energy was through the roof! I've never met 300 more positive and motivated people in one place before and I've made connections that I hope will last a very long time.
I'd like to share a couple of lessons that I already "knew" but were reinforced this weekend.
- STAY FOCUSED! Of course we know, staying focused is how we get things done. Jumping from one project to another without taking things to the end will never result in reaching your biggest goals. These Fast Track events sometimes make it difficult to stay focused because of all the amazing opportunities that are presented. It would be easy for me to jump into the next exciting endeavour shared with me by some of the richest people in North America. I'd probably make money, but my business and long term goals would suffer.
So, I focus on MY outcomes and learned new ways to participate in these other opportunities. I'll expand on this in another post.
- Do MORE with LESS. You may notice that this is one of the driving forces of Bionic Entrepreneur Incorporated. We want to help our clients do more with less. To leverage technology to get MORE from their business with LESS effort and time. To make MORE money with LESS cost.
This weekend helped me develop a deeper understanding of this lesson. I intend to use this knowledge to offer our clients much more than I thought I was able to, much sooner than I thought I could.
- ACT! Faster! This weekend I met a guy named Kelly Richie. He referres to himself as a "systems and processes guy" and he works with the Rich Dad orgainization. During his presentation he had us do an activity. If we were slow to respond he just kept saying, "Come on you guys! Wake up! Move faster! The world moves faster than this!"
Later on I met an entrepreneur who really takes action. A lady presented a story. It was a moving story about her son. It's not my story to tell so I'll just say this. She had a very powerful gift to give others in need, but she needed help to make her vision a reality. Immediately after she spoke, I mean litterally as she was walking from the stage, this entrepreneur stood up and went to her. He didn't know her but he could help her.
That very day he got his team to work and had a basic website up within 24 hours. This site will be a valuable tool for sharing her message and raising money so she can help others.
That was a supreme example of ACTION! Could I have offered her the same thing? Of course! Did I act without hesitation? No. I thought, "I'll catch up with her some time during the weekend." I hesitated and missed an opportunity to do good in the world.
I said at the beginning that these were lessons I already "knew". I think we all "know" them, but even G.I. Joe said, "Knowing is HALF the battle"! Only half!. If this knowledge is to be of any value we have to live it. It has to be converted into action. How do we do that? Practice.
I'll be dedicating my next series of posts to this weekend. What I've learned, who I've met, and what it can do for you.
For now, don't let yourself get trapped in a refrigerator! Go JOE!
To Your Success!
